It all started on July 2003: I was on holiday and thought that I
needed a website.
I wanted it as a way to "promote" myself and to promote my
PHP script:
PHPTestManager.
So I started to think about how to design it.
After a few days, I was done with
Flydown 0.1. It was pretty funny, and everybody seemed to like it.
I was satisfied with it, but I thought it wasn't very "professional" and soon started thinking about a new design.
On 28th October 2003 I published
Flydown 0.2. Much more professional. Though I missed those faces on
Flydown 0.1 :D...
My friends liked it and I liked it, too. But, after almost one year, I became bored with it and started thinking that that full-of-stupid-nested-tables design was not as professional as I once thought.
Now we come to the current version:
Flydown 1.0. I like it. And most of all I like its use of standards.
I decided to make it a "major release" because it's a big change from previous versions: XHTML, lots of CSS and changes in the sections.
I dropped the blog, because I never used it (just 4/5 posts in one year) and I have two other blogs which I update almost every day. I thougth about integrating my other blog in this website, but they're "different" and I don't want to mix them.
This website uses
PHP and a
MySql database. Pages have been built using XHTML and CSS, and are 100% tableless!
Everything has been done on an
Apple 15"
Powerbook. I'm a big
Apple fan and think I'll never buy another x86 computer.
